Super update Mr B once more. Let's reserve judgement on Ram90(?), might not be from the "dark side" eh? Regardless, a welcome addition to the team.

I've been a bit quiet of late and all for good reasons, work, kids, housework etc...gambling is literally the last thing on my mind. Complacency cannot and should not ever ignored though. All it would take is one slip and I would be back to square one.

Got told this week by someone I haven't seen in months I look much younger...does gambling age us??? That was my immediate thought. Perhaps the stress and strain of it makes us appear older. Not something I'd previously considered. Have a great gamble free week everybody. The Rock (day 85) 🙂

Gambling used to age me, mainly down to the lack of sleep, lack of interest in eating healthy, lack of exercise etc

Its so refreshing feeling stress free from the daily chore of gambling - it felt like a second job to me at times, thank god i've managed to stay away.

Great checkup as always Mr B.Makes me really look forward to the end of my weekend even though I know I have work the next day. These Sunday keep flying round which I'm sure is a good thing. Checking in 30 days free although I still hate it when I have to spend money even on small things such as weekly shop, hope these feelings will pass. I do also feel gambling has aged me, bags under eyes from late nights and lack of exercise.

Hi Guys,

79 days today and a bit of a week, but hanging in there. Mr B, many thanks for your continued efforts, Buddy, much appreciated. Have had a counselling breakthrough, but it really hurts. Will post on my diary and wishing everyone strength.

I don't know if this is the right place to post but I only made it to 12 days before being lured back into the online gambling sites. I am therefore back on day one.

I do want to stay on this challenge and have put new blocks in place to stop me gambling.

I do understand though if you say I can't continue on the challenge.

Hi Guys, just checking in on what is now my 12th day I believe!

Mr Brightside, you've hit the nail on the head! I am of course a Derby fan, the best team in the country aren't we?! In all seriousness Derby are probably one of the reasons I started gambling. I used to have the occasional bet on a match day, which then led to accumulators, and then bigger accumulators, and then slots, then casinos and so on and so on. The strangest thing about winning a decent amount of money, was the I'd immediately tell myself I was going to spend some of it. For example, If I won £1000 online, id tell myself I'd gamble £250, and save the rest. This inevetivaby never happend. £250 became £500, and £500 became £1000 very very quickly. It's a massive relief to have gone 12 days without gambling. My whole perspective has changed, and where as before I would look at peoples wins on social media with envy, I now pitty them in the knowledge that we all know their worse off in the long run, and will probably end up losing it all the same day anyway!

I'm not cured from this horrible addiction, but I'm very happy with my progress, it's 100% because of you lot on this forum, your changing my life for the better, one day at a time. THANK YOU!

Ram90.
