Good morning and very glad to have found this thread and challenge. I was gamble free for 2 years and relapsed last night. Hating myself right now, but know that I have come back to the right place for help. I had gamecare counselling 2 years ago and it was the best thing I ever did to get to the root of my habit. I crush my emotions and it starts with escapism. So here I am on Day 1 and glad to have found you again.

Checking in, bad week, so day 1 for me, not too much damage financially but it's still damage the worst thing is what it does to me - that feeling of self loathing and shame! I installed K9 on my laptop last week only to uninstall it again, is it really necessary to remember the password which it says you should, I can't get anyone to set the password for me or could I just use a random word from a dictionary and never remember it again? Apart from work I have a busy week ahead, trying to plan things and chores to keep me occupied! Have a good day everyone x

Epic fail for me...back at day 1. Could have been a lot worse but so disappointed in myself as I was hitting nearly 50 days. One day at a time...stay strong all. nb

Checking in day 117. Had a major wobble midweek and was planning to gamble. Clung on by my fingertips and feel so glad that I did. Learnt a few more things from the episode...progress for sure.

Hi all, I'd love to join the challenge if possible. I'm currently on day 8 after a previous stint of being just over 7 months gamble free. That's why I'm back on this site. I need that reminder, something to keep me on track. I have now quit for 6 months 3 times maybe 4 since first trying to stop 6 years ago so I can stop its just staying stopped. My last slip was only a slip thankfully but usually its full blown relapse and a feeling worse than ever before. I hope this challenge and the diary I have just started will mean I wont go back to those feelings of dispear. My posion if you like is sports and horses with a dash of dogs. Football and golf the main culprits but really I would bet on anything - would and not will as I just corrected as my betting is most definitely in the past!!
