Hi I'd like to join the challenge please. I'm on day 18 today. I've tried give up gambling a few times but never been this determined. I'm looking into attending GA as councelling wasn't for me. I bet on most sports without knowing anything about those sports.

99 Not Out!

My name is Mike, new to the site and new to the challenge. My problem is with online sports gambling, just dont feel like I am betting with real money, if I bet in a form that requires me to hand money out of my wallet I am not so keen.

I have had issues with online gambling going back 15 years. I blame it on backing Wimbledon in the FA Cup final against my school mates and my first accumulator bet turning £10 into £500! Since then I have been throught tens of thousands of pountds. I had it bad between 2000 and 2005 then I stopped for a while.

Relapsed many times since then, funding the gambling by buying stuff on finance, selling it and gambling what I recieved. I would get myself straight financially after a while and then look through the top100bookmakers website trying to find somebody I hadnt previously self excluded from and start again.

I did this only a couple of weeks when afterswearing of online gambling for life I joined a provider and did £1200 in two weeks. I just dont feel that I have ever respected the diesease I have, it wont go away I cannot change it. Last bet was yesterday, I am pleased that Jordan Spieth failed at the masters overnight or that would have given me £50 winnings to bet away today.

So I am 1 day in speak to you all next Monday.

Please see below the latest tally count. For me, it's the end of the trickiest weekend. Used to love going to the National meeting with family and friends but I know what I am and going there would be like a highly combustable man abseiling into an active volcano.

Welcome to new members and well done to people reaching personal milestones. Feb2013 and Tilly1976 have both smashed the 100 day barrier. Oldhamktf is through a brilliant 200 days and GladsDad an amazing 500 days. Top work.
