Hi everyone; I will be updating the rollcall tomorrow first thing because I'm out tonight and need my PC software to do the stats. Rest assured I'll keep up 🙂

It's been quite a day in our group, friends, and plenty for us all to reflect on.

Lady H, without question, as you've asked, I will rest you from our group. You haven't failed though, you've had a blip. We're all human 🙂 If you would like to come back, we will welcome you back with open arms; we care 🙂

Good evening (or at the time of writing, good morning!) and I hope you had a good Tuesday. I had a night out tonight, GF I hasten to add, with my brother. He knows that I'm GF, day to day, and I've been a little humbled how supportive he has been. My view is, if you disclose to the right person, then you get support in spades, but if course this is a very personal decision for us all.

Tonight, I have, upon their request, rested two of our members from our group. We all wish them well and you are welcome back any time. All I will say is this: going GF is not easy, and for some maybe a 'daily reminder' such as this group doesn't help. Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Whatever helps is what matters. Also, if you do fall off the wagon, then you may feel bad for the group, you may feel you have let us down. The point is - you haven't; just let us know and we will support you 100% as we help you up as you try again. The spirit of all of us, and the spirit of our group, has settled into one of 100% support. That said, we all SO want you to go for 100 days. How many of us will be in our group after 100 days? I say 28.

P.S. Thank you Mark, Tri, Moorey and everyone for your kind comments. I am very happy to keep running this challenge every day. All the thanks I need are just another GF day, one day at a time... that's a small price to pay, yet the rewards to you are immense...and Tri's magnificent example is testament to that (1042 days and counting) yet you rightfully realise it still it's day to day, Tri.

We all have our uplifting days but to those who have a down day never give up remember live to fight another day remain positive people.

Just checking in to confirm I was GF yesterday.

I have reached a point where the days that are passing no longer matter, I am focussing on the joy of the journey.

For me this mindset has become key, as there is not and cannot be a finish line.

As i move forward, the view gets better and better.

Good morning! Another day, another dollar. The taxman may get a chunk, bills take another but the gambling operators are NOT going to take a penny of it when I get paid in a couple of weeks. It's simply too hard earned. And so say all of us!

Thank you for your kind words Mari, and you are dead right with what you say JayD.

And Sbb, yours is my post of the day and it's only just started (although my packed commuter train tells me it certainly has!). You are exactly right; let's enjoy this journey and it's a GF journey that lasts forever!

Our 100-day challenge doesn't mark the end; it will be a milestone that proves we have the ooomph for this.

We are talking the talk and walking the walk, carefully , determinedly and - enjoyably, dammit - day by day. Through gritted teeth if necessary.

Are we going to play with fire? No; every day we will have the resolve not to play with the matches. We value what we have; we would have to be mad to risk it.

Thank you for checking in everyone, we are 28-strong and united we stand. It's a shorter post from me tonight as I'm going to have an early night, I'm sleep deficient. However, knowing we're all GF for another day certainly helps to fill the 'relax' part of my brain.

We're at the point of the month now where some of us are probably royally skint; 'tis that time of the month and in January too! However, when payday arrives, and even after debt repayments etc. are cleared, there will still be what is called 'discretionary spend' left - money after expenses and food that's free for you to spend!!! In the next post or two, we'll think of some strategies to make sure that money does not provide a tempation for us - we are going to remain GF free, everyone. But there's no harm in bolstering our defences...!
