day 107

Much better day today all round, very productive, very positive, Im covering for my boss this week so im the even bigger cheese with lots of people wanting a piece of it, but i handled it well and even got a call from one of the senior bow down we arnt worthy bosses and he was singing my praises..

I had a chat with my Boyfirend last night and yes everyone was right, Im blowing things out of all proportion we discussed options about his house and will find alternative ways to make our plans happen, I know he feels the same and re-locating for him is not a problem or something that he is worried about. So patience is a virture that im continuing to practice.

I was in the petrol station before and a man at the side of me asked for 10 euro millions tickets and was rambling on about winning the jackpot and i just listened and smiled to myself... Not for me mate you can dream all you like Im chosing to live in the real world.

Thanks for posting hun ....just getting my impressions ready..which i'm sure NO ONE has ever heard before.

Already got my slot pegged at Liverpool One and since I last lived there the whole place has undergone a facelift...nay..a transplant! ..hardly recognise it.

Think Lazurus may take to wearing a balaclava as i'm now stalking him (JOKE!) ..but all in all fun times to be had in the city and nice parks for Doo.

Hoping Woody is well on the mend and you are still enjoying the Olympics ....seasoned traveller may have to hang up car keys soon as a job change may be the next part of detoxing.

keep posting hun and i'm sill reading even if somedays I don't post...

To be honest, I don't feel the need to post so much but am glad it's there if I need it. As you know, this journey can be so up and down that it kind of feels safer to have that option should I need it.

I see you've had a bit of a dip recently but in true Blondie style, you've bounced right back! Good for you buddy.. you really are an inspiration on here and the way you've tackled your recovery is an example to all of us!

day 108

A killer of day in work and feeling pretty tired tonight just got back from a nice walk with woody he is back to full strength and running around like a lunatic again.

My boyfriend has got tickets for the olympics tomorrow but unfortunatly I cant go as im covering for my boss this week.

No thoughts of gambling but lots of thoughts about where i am in my recovery I am still struggling with setting my expectations to high and actually im not sure where my expectations are but sometimes i get the odd pang that im not doing enough or i havent come far enough,

Note to self there is no instant fix to this, this is a lifetime commitment be patient, be persistant, go easy on yourself.

I read alot of posts. I typically keep to myself because I don't feel confident enough in my own recovery to speak to recovery.. if that makes sense. Anyway, about doing enough.. You have managed to remain gamble free for over 100 days. That is an amazing achievement! I see how much support you give to so many others. That is alot. 🙂 hugs.. joan

Great to see you fighting on and still posting! Was a little worried we might lose you a few days ago not back to gambling but away from the diaries! I guess we just have little phases and that's all part of life! Ive said it before but in recovery we are learning to live life again and altho that is brilliant we forget life is a B*****r sometimes!

Anyway, sounds like you are the big cheese this week
