How many times do you hear that addicts are selfish people. For me not true, I was very much a self destructive person being an addict.

My recovery has been a very long self discovery of how unhealthy and how emotionally vulnerable I use to be.

Some people might think that once we abstain from our unhealthy addictions that our get easier over night.

For me not so if any thing I got more tested being in the recovery program and more often.

I have lost count of the people who say you have to do this or do that.

Some people have been scared away from recovery because they were not treated in healthy ways.

Being in the recovery for a while I now understand what a slow healing porcess it was for me.

@ypqtfao731 Hi

Recovery is about exchanging my unhealthy habits in to healthy habits.

During my unhealthy addiction years I was so aimless and so self destructive.

I now understand that life is for living with healthy habits.

No one made me gamble.

No one could make me not gamble.

No one could make me see that gambling was self desstructive.
