Hello, can anyone help me with reporting a casino for not following with gamstop although they regulate under a UKGC licence? I have reached out to them several times and they have refused to state when they will make it live as they state its non mandatory? Is that correct or should have all UK casinos have adapted gamstop by the end of december?

I can message a moderator the casino name because I dont want to say it publicly on here if anyone can help.

I have just had a quick google and both the Gamstop and Gambling Commission sites are disappointingly out of date.

I did find on another gambling recovery forum a post from someone saying that due to "technical difficulties" the deadline for completing Gamstop registration for UK online casinos had been delayed to end of 1st Qtr 2019 (so end March 2019) - this was just a post from someone so I have no way to verify how accurate that is. It is possible then that some UK sites might have still been operating without Gamstop last week. Hardly ideal.

This is the link to Gambling Commission complaints page - I'd put a complaint in if you know of a site still operating without Gamstop even if it was prior to 31 March 2019 as at lesat they should be able to tell you if they are now signed up.

Hello Shaneleese,

We replied to you previously about this issue here: https://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/gamstop-did-not-work-uk-casino#comment-1929360

The GamStop website says "Until participation in the GAMSTOP scheme has become mandatory for operators who are licensed by the Gambling Commission, it is important for you to understand that GAMSTOP can only exclude you from online gambling with operators that have chosen to participate in the GAMSTOP scheme. Most gambling operators are currently participating". https://www.gamstop.co.uk/terms-of-use

GamStop list the particpating companies here: https://www.gamstop.co.uk/participating-companies

The Gambling Commission webpage about self-exclusion is here: https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/for-the-public/Safer-gambling/Self-exclusion.aspx

The contact details for the Gambling Commission are here: https://www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk/about/Contact-us/Contact-us.aspx

So far your posts on the forum have been concerned with this issue of a gambling company not participating in GamStop yet. You are also welcome to use the forum for peer support for your recovery.
