Hi

Walking in to the recovery was very scarey for me, yet it was one of the best things I did in my life.

I am a non religious but found out that recovery works for every one if you go to meetings and do the work.

I like many people did not stop gambling day one.

I was told that people in the rooms wanted to see me go to meetings no matter when my last bet was.

Even if I had no money keep going to meetings.

If I kept going to meeetings in  time I would not only stop gambling but would live a much healthier life.

In time I handed over all finances and credit cards to my wife and was given a small amount of money each day.

The simple truth I could not trust my self with money or credit cards.

Well what do you know some time later I was able to trust my self with money.

The room of recovery was about learning to be honest to my self.

In time I would give up gambling it would be my choice.

In time I would I get to understand each of my emotional triggers.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to heal my pains.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to reduce and face my fears.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to reduce my unreasonable expectations of people life and situations.

To not take things to seriously.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to have a healthy intimacy with people in the recovery program.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to write down my needs my wants and my goals and not procrastinate with my time.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to become more productive.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to stop feeeling guilty shamre and regret for the pains I casused in the past.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to learn to love my self.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to learn to respect my self.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to learn give more of my self to other people.

Being an addict I was not a selfish person I was how ever a self destructive person.

Being an addict I was not evil bad good right or worng how ever I was emotionally vulnerable.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to heal the hurt inner child in me.

I learn from my past but no longer live in it.

Sticking to the recovery I was able to reach a very healthy level of healthy actions and healthy words.

Sticking to the recovery I was letting go of being unhealthy and becoming a much healthier person each day.

Without being committed to the recovery program I would have never been as healthy as I am today.

To live my life with out fear, to heal my pains, to live the fullest days I can and be as healthy as any one could be.

Healing love and peace to every one.
