My partner has gone to rehab and I feel lost

I’m Hey guys I’m new to this. So me and my boyfriend got together in July 2020 two years ago. He told me about his addiction from the get go. Over the past 2 years it has got severely worse. He would lie to me about where money has gone and manipulate me into giving him money. He’s about £17,000 in debt. He was so down , depressed upset , my money was being lost it got awful. He got told by his therapist he needed to go to rehab which he agreed to go to. He’s only 24. I ended up splitting the relationship up back in November 2022 he was leaving for rehab 9th jan 2023. Because I couldn’t cope with the relationship it was me paying for everything he had nothing it wasn’t a happy healthy relationship . And it was heartbreaking because we are so in love. 
He has gone away for 4 months and calls me every Friday. His head is in a place where he doesn’t know if we are going to get back with one another. Be good to get your guys opinions. He needs to love himself to properly love me and want to be with me in an relationship again and I hope this Rehab works so we can re kindle and be the best we’ve ever been when he returns . I just feel lost without him and worry what if he doesn’t want me when he comes out.
