Just noticed on the 2017 challenge RA checked in on day 118 I think and the was censored. With a bit of detective work I think it's one hundred and eighteen. Makes updating the challenge a bit tricky if we can't say what day we are on I'm sure it's to do with the payday loan sharks but might be worth reviewing.

It's so refreshing in 2017 to finally find a space where **** like me with a ****** can find a safe space to talk about real **** and love the ****. I was about to kill myself before I came here tonight but thanks to the honesty of this site I can now honestly say ******** and ****** but really ***** too , so thanks for ******** because I'd hate for anyone under 18 years old to stumble across this site and hear such terrible words as billshit or c**P - it must be terrible for them to hear such offencive cuss words.

Thank god for Gamcare. Thank god I can lose £4,000 on roulette and feel like killing myself, but thank you for protecting me from expressing myself by saying c**P poo shitt!

Great site you got here!

May I just register my support for the beleaguered sixth letter of the alphabet? It may be tainted by its association with a common swear word but on its own it's probably innocent enough.

Hello ODAAT and Emily82,

ODAAT our forum manager is aware of this thread and so will continue to consider feedback from users about how the website's automatic censor is screening particular words. The word you mentioned can be used in respectful ways and pejorative ways.

Emily82 thank you for your generous feedback and tact.

Take care,

Forum admin.

Oh...No it isn't! Surely there's an element of 'free speech' that should come into play here? Posts that misuse words will no doubt be flagged & should be treated accordingly but please reconsider a blanket ban.

hi all

I have updated the filtered words today so that queen and 118 are now ok. I think queen was included automatically as it can be used negatively, as we said above. I have contacted our support about the sixth letter of the alphabet so hopefully that will soon be sorted. Thanks for everyone's feedback.

I agree with the censorship because naughty words 🙂 lower the standards on the forum.

I understand that these words spring to mind when talking about the misery of gambling but we really dont need to see posts full of them and it trains the mind for calmness to put things in a more reasonable way. There are other words to use to convey the depths of our feelings and emotions. I dont think it does any of us any favours to write or see loads of swear word type expletives.

"I dont agree with that in the workplace" ho ho

People write things down as they want though and we can all fill in the asterisks with our imaginations. It sets a certain standard of what should be appearing in print

However when words like w-e-t seem to get asterisked out its embarrassing as it looks as though Im swearing.

Im not a prude but I think its a good policy as long as its not affecting normal words and numbers
