I just wanted to come on here and say thank you to rob for the online chat i had with him last week. at the time i was feeling really low and i was kinda frustrated at the speed of the chat. In hindsight i guess it made me look and think about what i had said. i''m in a better place right now and have opened up to my wife and we are going to implement his suggestions.

i'm guessing im going to be coming back to the forum, so thanks for being there.

Hi Marchy,

Thank you for sharing this feedback at a difficult time for you. I'm really pleased to hear you are in a better place, and that you and your wife are looking at some of the options for support.

You are both very welcome to come back through to the NetLine or HelpLine if either of you want to get more support.

There is a lot of great peer-peer support on the forum and in the chat rooms, so please read and share what you can.

Recovery takes time, but is possible.

Warm regards

Rob

Hello Netkolay

It depends whether you mean the one to one chat with an adviser on the NetLine, or a group chat which is available every evening from 8pm-9pm.

You can access the NetLine direct from our home page www.gamcare.org.uk. It's open 8am to midnight every day.

You can access the group chat room by logging into the forum, then going to www.gamcare.org.uk/chat. It opens at 8pm every night and closes at 9pm.

If you have any questions about it, you can also contact us on our freephone telephone helpline, 0808 8020 133. It's also open 8am to 9pm every day.

Best wishes

i just wanted someone to listen to me

instead i got grief and was then cut off by the netline

Hi Triangle

We are so sorry to hear that your experience with the chatroom tonight wasn't as it should be. Unfortunately we were experiencing technical difficulties during this evenings chat which may have given you the impression that the moderator was being unresponsive.

Please do contact the helpline and speak to an adviser if you would like to discuss this further on 0808 8020 133.

Best wishes

Alex

Hi Living a lie, the chat room on Sunday was cancelled - a notice was posted here: http://www.gamcare.org.uk/forum/chat-cancelled-sunday-2nd-august.

Apologies for the inconvenience and I hope you were able to find the chat room yesterday.
