Was feeling very down due to gambling problems. I rang the gam care phone and Phil answered. What a great man he is. Made me feel so much better and was very helpful and confident to stop the gambling problems. He made my day, thank you Phil and Gam care.

was feeling the bneed to have a go on online gambling again the other day, called the helpline and to be honest, it sounded as if i was putting the lady at the other end out. i tried to explain that i had a real desparate craving to go online, i was completely new to the helpline but the experince has really put me off wanting to speak again. i did end up online and now feel almost at the end of the line with everything.

Welcome to the forum and I'm sorry to hear about your experience on the helpline. I'll make sure this gets passed on. Despite this, hopefully coming to the forum has helped you to see that you aren't by yourself in this and that there are people who will support you - also that there can be a way out of your situation. Perhaps you might post in New Members to introduce yourself and so people can offer advice. I don't know a lot about your situation, but if you do struggle with urges gambling online, it might be helpful to get some blocking software in place to make it harder for yourself: Betfilter, GamBlock and Netnanny are examples of this if you wanted to take a look.

I hope you feel able to keep posting here and getting the support you need.
