Hi all
I made my first post one month ago confessing my addiction and saying I NEED and WANT to make a change. I pleased to say that one month to the day I am still gamble free, not 1 penny of my money has been attributed to gambling. I can honestly say it’s been a lot easier than I thought it would, I haven’t really had any urges, yes there have been occasions where I have thought shall I have a bet on the football but they’ve been few and far between. I have thought about buying a lotto ticket but I even decided against that in case it causes a trigger and subsequent relapse. Still a very long way to go and of course I’m by no means cured but I can really see a GF life and it fills me with joy. I feel like I’ve got so much more to give, feel much more positive about life, have more determination to achieve things, above all though my main motivation is to get my finances back on track. Cheltenham is on the horizon which is going to test me but I’ll get through it.
For anyone out there just starting like I was a month ago, please watch only Phil on YouTube, he’s been such a help, can’t recommend him enough.
