This is my first day off machines, o*g aren't they just so addictive! It's the thrill of a win and the main issue is the bigger the stake the bigger the win. But then bigger the losses and they inevitably arrive. Its strange how the mind works, you think you are always going to win but greed gets the better of us and so we carry on. In the end the house gets it all. Worst thing is I enjoy it the thrill etc but I know its a waste of money but Im doing the moses thing tommorow and my partners helping me with limited access to cash so I can't go and throw it all away. Anyhow this day 1...

Hi Carol thank you for yr reply, I've never done online gambling as i know that I would quickly be addicted to that. So I'm doing the bookies ban ( moses) now and trying to keep myself busy with extra shifts at work etc and going for coffee n some shopping with friends. Getting control back is a state of mind and a level of self_ restraint but gamcare have been amazing help, its understanding the fun I thought I experienced was temporary and ultimately soul destroying, why work hard to just waste it all on a machine when you can save money for a decent holiday have decent days out etc and enjoy life
Affected by gambling?
