22 days ago I made a important choice in my life to block out gambling all together. I came back to gamcare and activated gamstop also I contacted self exclusion team to self exclude myself from betting shops. I’m feeling a lot happier in myself not worrying about pay day knowing full well by the end of the day it would be all gone into a slot machine or online. I see the difference seeing money in the bank and not wasted. I still have withdrawals symptoms time to time. But I’m happy to say I’m 22 days clean 🙂Â
Hi Jadelouise96,
That is great news- I hope you can use this as a stepping stone to more gamble free days in the future.

Well done keep it upÂ
I'm so glad for you that you have reached a point where you are ready to commit to recovery. Urges are easier to dispel when all the blocks are in place a barrier to gambling. I couldn't go 24hrs previously without gamstop now I've just past 7months so I hope it works out for you like it has for me. The further away the addiction is the easier life is, 22days will grow day by day with your hard work
Thank you so much for your kind words.
one point I was gambling every day and chasing my losses. I’ve blocked gambling all together. The urges to gamble come and go but I always just think to myself how happy I am and how happy I can afford to buy myself nice things. Also wow 7 months well done.Â
