I’ve gambled away my monthly salary and have no idea how to survive the month. I have no family left to ask and am very isolated right now. I have no idea how to feed myself which is my main concern until the end of the month.Â
Dear @cj1974
Thank you for posting on the Forum.
I’m sorry to hear that you feel isolated at the moment, but I want you to know there is support available to you.
You can find your nearest food bank on the Trussell Trust website (www.trusselltrust.org). You can contact your GP or your local church for a food bank voucher. You could also contact your local council to see what support they can offer you.
I would encourage you to contact us on the Helpline (0808 8020 133) or contact us via the Live Chat ( https://www.gamcare.org.uk/get-support/talk-to-us-now/ ), for some one-to-one support and we discuss blocks and on-going treatment support.
Please also continue to share on the Forum if you find that helpful.

Thank you Fay. I feel like such an idiot, again, This has to be the last time I gamble.
Personally during my gambling career i never got to the stage of doing a months wages in one sitting so i am unable to offer much advice regarding that situationÂ
However i have been through months in the past where i am stretching 1 or 200 quid through 4 weeksÂ
Certainly makes you resourceful ....i would suggest searching for anything you can sell
Ebay ,gumtree and facebook marketplaces will be your friend

cheers. I’ve been here many times. I get paid I deposit and get in to almost a trance like state of gambling online until it’s all gone. Moral compass out the window. I’ve met many gamblers who have done similar. This will be the last time tho. I’m withdrawing next salary and going cash only . I am giving this cash to a trusted friend to see how much I can save . That’s my planÂ
I’ve blown  20 grand in a sitting before .. inheritance .. savings all eaten up by horrific addiction over ten years . I could have bought a house outright with losses . Yet I am alive and working and still have a sense of humour for some reason! What doesn’t kill you def makes you stronger ...Â
I'm sorry to read this CJ, but I'm pleased you're hear.Â
You CAN do this ?
Keep on fighting it CJ. You can do this, next month sounds like you have a good plan ahead with this trusted friend. I truely hope it works out
all the bestÂ
