Hi GGGG,

Well done for abstaining for 50 good days, and also for not responding to the urge to gamble that night. It seems like the temptation was rather high; perhaps it would be advisable to try and meet your friend at a different spot next time – in a library, cafГ©, shop, or supermarket, etc. You really put yourself into a difficult situation, and I’m wondering if you intended to test your paws?

Honestly, you should be proud of yourself for not faulting, and glad that you realised the challenge, and walked out of the premises.

You also managed to reflect on the consequences when you relapsed after 27 days of not gambling. All these are some of life experiences that one has to learn from, and it seems like you’re doing that perfectly well.

Maybe you’d like to contact us on the Helpline on: 0808 8020 133, and chat with one of our advisers on your progress, and also for encouragement.

Well done you!! Try and keep up the good work, and please keep posting.

Best wishes,

Beatrice
