Hi MessedUpMumma, well done you for coming here and registering, a big, positive step that some people will never take so pat on the back for recognizing and appreciating what is happening to you.
Try to "ride the storm" if you can. These urges are almost always temporary, find other ways to keep your mind occupied and they will become easier to deal with.
Remember that winning is actually worse than losing. Winning will make you crave gambling more, likely at higher stakes than before. Losing will make you beyond desperate to recoup what you have lost, so how can you ever really win? You can't, it is a lose-lose scenario, and that is what you have to accept my friend.
Well done again, you should be proud of yourself. Make these next eight years some of the best of your life!
