Hey Goe110, sorry I haven't been on here for a couple of days, it was a frantic weekend but an amazing one. One of my friends got married and we had such a brilliant day and night. No bets which is good! I was fine on Saturday but did have a big urge yesterday which was really annoying. I kind of felt like I could have a bet and stay in control and then quickly realised this was a stupid thought so put it to the back of my mind (well tried too!). How was your weekend? Are you still clean?

I am going to Vegas in April... it's good that my lady knows where I am with everything because she will be there and I trust her to keep me on the straight and narrow. I definitely need a game plan for then but it still feels like quite a long time before we go and I hope I will be a lot stronger by then.

Great to see on Saturday that you're doing well!! Dead chuffed for you 🙂 keep it up!

Hi Langtoft - nice to meet you! You're in the right place to meet some really good people who will try and help you through these hard times. I've only been sober for 8 days so a million miles from being an expert! I guess if you have been able to go for months without feeding the addiction you are clearly a strong person. What does your head say to you when you justify having a 'mad night' as you put it?

Speak soon all!

Hi Sweeper

Thanks for your check up on me. Well, I'm on day seven, I see you have hit past the one week mark, which is absolutely brilliant, a great achievement. It's so great having motivation from others on here, no reason to go back now. Keep it up, let's all do this together.

Hi Sweeper

Thanks for that. All this is a bit confusing because when you ask yourself 'why' there is no answer ?

I've got a blocker on the PC now which should help. It is almost with me I have to lose to justify playing. All a bit weird but 4 days & counting.

Good luck all.

Morning chaps!

How are we all doing? Hope the good work done my the 4 of us has carried on.

I'm pleased to report I've not had a bet for 2 weeks, this is day 15. I even went horse racing on Saturday (my partner works in the industry) and despite being completed surrounded by betting I was able to watch and enjoy the spectacle, have a few beers and cope. It wasn't easy but I knew it wouldn't be.

Wishing you all the very best and hope the coming week is positive for us all 🙂
