Its in the past now, but please work hard, listen to the advice and seek the help.

Don`t be me, it can be beaten or at least learned to live with it.

You can have a good life.

Smash the hell out of gambling addiction.

Hi Lids,

Tried harder, listened to advice ?. Who amongst us listened or tried until we'd reached rock bottom. Take the positives from all that madness Lids, you get to rock bottom & after that the only way is up. Your positive outlook & infectious optimism is something we can all learn from. If ever I'm tempted as I was over Xmas I fully intend to look back at your progress & achievements. You've given so much to this forum, big thanks to you.

Best Wishes

Hi,

You learn to control addiction, you learn to live. You learn to live, you learn to love. You learn to love you learn that other folk have their problems too. You learn to see others struggles you learn to step up & help. You learn to help, you learn to recover. You learn to help you learn to heal. Learn to heal you learn to enjoy. Learn to enjoy simple pleasures, you learn to be grateful for what you have. Recovery is a permanent work in progress. Ain't no shortcuts.

Best Wishes

Hi

No point or benefit in being hard on my self.

I found it hard to get motivated and focused on getting things done.

The recovery program is about healing our pains.

The recovery program helped me to help my self.

The recovery program helped me ask for help.

The recovery program helped me get more honest with my self in a kind way.

Write down each day my list of my needs my wants and my goals.

Each item I complete I cross off my lists.

Sitting on my hands doing nothing hard time made my recovery very hard.

The therapies help reduce my fears and increase my trusts issues.

To not rush at things but to take my time.

To not take unhealthy risks.

Learn to be kinder and respectful of my self.
