Hi @z2d5l1vh0a welcome to the GamCare Forum and for sharing your current situation. There is help available to support you in understanding your relationship with problem gambling.

I can understand why you are feeling unwell and would firstly encourage you to speak with your G.P. about how you are feeling, not sure if you are a resident of the U.K. but I have listed here online support and support we offer residents in the U.K.

If you have not already I would suggest you speak to your creditors to arrange affordable payment plans you can do this directly or via debt management services. I have provided a link to the Money Guidance Service which can provide advice and also offer an online themed chat room on Wednesdays from 6-7pm Managing your money - GamCare you can make a self-referral via the 24 hour helpline on 0808 802 0133.

At GamCare we provide themed online chatrooms Chatrooms - GamCare and there are other online support interventions that you can access Looking for support? - GamCare

We also provide 121 support with a Support Practitioner in your local area and can make a self referral via our 24 hour helpline on 0808 802 0133

We also have an online CBT course that you can complete with the support of an Online Support Practitioner GameChange Course - GamCare

Hi, first off well done for reaching out here, thats a huge positive step. There are many blocks you can put in place to help with recovery. If you gamble online , sign up to gamstop, that prevents you being able to gamble online. Theres also gamban, get that on all your devices. Then contact your bank and ask for blocks to gambling transactions. You can also self exclude from bookies and casinos.

Are you dealing with this alone, maybe you could confide in your partner, a friend or close family member. Gamcare is also here 24 hours a day. At first the urges can be tough to cope with, but it gets easier as the weeks go by. Your not alone in this. Theres a chatroom on here everyday 7-8pm with many supporting people going through this terrible addiction to. Reach out, don't suffer alone.

We will never win gambling, as even if we do , we just end up gambling it all back. I started gambling 9 years ago, and tried to stop so many times, but had relapse after relapse. Until I nearly lost my partner, family members and friends, enough was enough, I'm now 147 day gamble free. You can do this to.

Stay strong

Stace
