Hello,
So this is the first time talking about my problems to anyone. I have been gambling since 16 starting with scratch cards and then signing up too online casinos with a fake age to bypass the system (naughty). I'm now 21. So I've been gambling 5 years, the first couple of years I'd like to say was okay, where I only had a small income with starting my job at 16, so didn't have much but then I got qualified and the pay rise came.
At 18, I split from the girlfriend and it got worse. I was more active on the casinos (blackjack) I always tell myself roulette is more dangerous but that doesn't stop me doing higher bets on blackjack. So back to it, we split and the switch changed. I was spending every last penny I had, with nothing returning and me being in debt. I was around £8000 in debt, and slowly things got better.
I'm now 21, and still in debt by about £1000-£2000, and slowly rising unfortently. As I've not learnt to walk away. I'm registered at the main online casinos, and I've taken a few steps by making a deposit limit on them.
Into the history of the casinos, the main one I play is Sky because it has instant withdraw (if I win) and I recently checked my stats, well oh dear. I've played with £600,000+ and from what I can recall I've only ever had 1 big win, £12,000 which I withdrew. But I then put some back in. The other casinos I have between £10,000-£50,000 gameplay and hardly any withdraws.
Today (22/02/2019) I deposited £100 on one casino, and had £1600 balance within 30 minutes but then that quickly went to 0, so I then went onto another casino and deposited £50 and also reached a £1500 balance within 1 hour with a outcome of 0. I then chased my losses with a total deposit of £1200 and a withdraw balance of 0.
Finacially it's getting bad again. I have two jobs, work 7 days a week 10 hours a day. and now, I need to help myself before others can help me.
I'd like to think someone might think and listen to what I've said and think it's time to stop also, because the outcome of gambling is a negative balance.
Hello mate. Welcome to the forum. I too joined today.
If you're serious about stopping you should really join up with Gamstop. They take your details and can block you from joining any online casino, and also cancel and block your existing accounts. It sounds like online is where it's at for you so this would be a good start.
I did this but I then turned to bookies. You might want to use the multi operator to ban yourself from all local bookmakers.
My biggest piece of advice to anyone is to be honest with the people around you. Family, friends etc. We tend to hide our problem which only makes things worse. Get the support you need. Do the right thing bud.
All the best,
Dave.
unfortunately winnings is never enough as it just makes you greedy for more. you're still fairly young, take a look in the families and relatives forum and take a look at what your future could be.
