Hello @b4fck21au3
Welcome to our GamCare Forum – a space for all those who are affected by someone else’s gambling or those who are experiencing gambling harms.
Thank you for sharing on our Forum, it seems that you are experiencing a lot of over whelming emotions from your husband’s gambling. If you haven’t already then it might be a good idea to speak to someone close to you, a friend or family member who can help support you with this as going through and trying to understand all of this on your own can be a lonely place to be in.
It may also be that you would like more peer to peer support from others on this platform who are in similar situations. For that we have a dedicated forum space for family friends here: https://community.gamcare.org.uk/forum/family-friends/ and also run a family and friends affected by Gambling Harms live chatrooms which run every week on Tuesdays between 12-1pm and Thursdays between 7-8pm, UK time. Reading other’s stories and attending the live chats can help you connect with others and hopefully you are able to feel supported - You are not alone, we are here to support you too.
For a more 1 to 1 approach you can always contact us through to our helpline to speak to one of our advisers for debrief on the situation - space to go through this together with someone and receive further guidance on accessing affected other support through GamCare. Our helpline is open 24/7, you can contact us via call on 0808 8020 133 or go through outr website and chat to someone.
Best wishes,
Brielle
