Hi well I'm 25 from kent if you hadn't guessed already. I've been gambling on and off for a while now but only recently sensing it's becoming a problem as this is all I seem to be spending my money on these days and I hardly ever go out socially and will do it at every opportunity now whereas before I had periods on and off. I gamble on football usually online but tend to only go to the shops if I have cash on me not that it makes a difference either way. I'm on aripriprazole at the moment which was prescribed by a psychiatrist (I was sectioned a year and a half ago which came as much a shock to my family and friends as the fact that I've taken up gambling) and this has a side effect of making people pathological gamblers as far fetched as it sounds it's a fact I was only able to find out about it online. Some people however tend to see the bright side of it though as I've had a couple of lucky big wins which only fed the craving more. I'm worried this habit will eat all my funds and I end up heavily in debt or even worse homeless. I could easily bet 500 pounds in one day if I have it and this will usually be on lots of things rather than just one thing. One pay cheque could be gone in a day put it that way. Anyway I would really like to stop now as the addiction has become ridiculous. And I hope to get to know some of you here and benefit from the experience.
