I have been a regular gambler for many years. It started by going the betting shop on my lunch and having a bet on the horses or the football in the evening. Then you throw a quid in the machine and you get a win and then you start doing that everyday but it is limited to the betting shop on your lunch. Then you I went after work, do the same so the outlay is double then you go in morning before work and before you know it you are were I am winning grands and grand online roulette and then putting it all back in.
recently lost a relationship one of the factors being my addiction to gambling. Enough is enough.

we’re do you start?

self excluded from websites but there is another 100 more every week what is the best site or software to use to block them and not allow me on?

how do you mentally start to put this right and beat it? First I started cos it was fun and I have had long breaks of not betting and currently I have not done roulette which is the big danger but put 10 pound on the 49s.

need help please

You need to find something else you enjoy try to find other hobbies and interest and ask yourself why your gambling in the first place is it boredom, excitement of gambling are you trying to make a quick buck, notice gambling is highly addictive and u can literally get sucked into it, time is precious ive been on this road where i couldnt control myself i tried doing other things and interests for me it was a number of personal things which attached me towards gambling i also found out i have an addictive personality and can get very attached to things, Ga can help and putting blocks and handing finances can also help, gambling is like any other addiction but can be far distructive to stop you need to believe in yourself personally what worked for me i would treat myself towards the weekend and i managed to beat gambling for over 2 years until my recent relapse, my last relapse was caused due to family truama which i didnt think could put mr through the hell hole i was past the previous loss as one of the triggers was to make my money back or close to it and then quit which never really happened as i lost more each time i had those relapses from my experince this addiction a life long illness and u have to take each day as it comes life itself is tough and u dont know whats around the corner, make changes to your life find support and be honest with yourself the temptation will always be their and u need be prepared unlike other addictions could be cured for life gambling different few people have relapsed after 10 years clean and have been in worse situation then they began with the sooner u accept this the better it will be even after relapse write it down how u was feeling what caused it and make changes see what works hopefully u will do better the following time

There are three common types of gambler, the professional gambler, the social gambler, and the problem gambler. Be aware that the problem gambler will often believe themselves to be, or pretend to be, a social or professional gambler.

Tazman has covered it well

But yea theres no shortcuts out of this mess it will take a good 3-5 years of diligence and introspection

You really have to understand yourself and your habits / perception of the world

find something that interests you , study it and master it

that is the best advice i can offer
