Hi all,
This my first time openly admitting I have a problem to anyone (albeit anonymously).Â
I had a problem 2/3 years ago and managed to curb it, but in the last few months I’ve relapsed & gone pretty hard £0000’s. It’s not only slots, but these Instant Win competitions. I’m tired in the mornings as a result sitting up until early hours and it’s really tough. I’ve installed GAMBAN, and I’m really hoping this is the beginning of the end. I’m disappointed in myself for using savings & being back at square one.Â
This is largely just to express how I’m feeling and hopefully somebody can say to me it’s okay. So, thank you for reading.Â
Hi @7o98lf1kic
It isn't easy to admit it however it's the first step needed to make a difference to your recovery. All of our cases are unique, however we all have the same problem and face the same hurdles. Your outcome will be dependent on how serious you are about quitting. I for example admitted I had a problem and attended counseling, put blocks in place and restrictions on my banks, however I knew in my heart I wasnt 100% committed to giving up and I left the door open to go back to gambling. My advice to you is commit yourself 100% and keep that door tightly closed.Â
Well done for posting!
Hello, I am also admitting now that I have a problem. I got paid yesterday and have spent nearly every single penny on gambling! I haven’t even paid my bills, I’ve told my Mum about it and told her not to judge me! I’ve also closed all my accounts down permanently. I can and will beat this! And so can you!Â
Affected by gambling?
