Hi Everyone

My gambling journey began about 7-8 years ago, mostly online slots and some sports bets. Won some, put it all back in on most occasions and then chase chase chase!

A few years ago I got myself into debt with it and decided enough was enough. However, I was niave with my approach to stopping and just stopped cold turkey closing my casino accounts down or just taking a break. This seemed to work ok, I got myself out of debt, I didn’t gamble anymore and managed to get myself on the property ladder. Happy Days!

... then I started gambling again after being made redundant and I gambled a sizeable chunk of that redundancy package away. It could of been used for so many more things! Stupid behaviour on my part.

It has only been recently that I have spoken to my partner about it. It broke his heart, honestly never been more ashamed in my life.

This time stopping has never been more serious. No more relapses and hiding it. I have self excluded and also signed up to GamStop as well as joining Gamcare. I realise that this is just the start of the journey but I am looking forward to getting in control.

Cheers for reading
