Hi everyone, I first started gambling 6 years ago. I was waiting in the car with a friend when he started playing roulette for just £1 per spin. I didn't know what it was at the time, but it looked like fun, when I got home that night, I started playing. Fast forward 1 month later I had lost everything I had around £5000.

Recently, on the run-up to Christmas, I had 4 weeks off work and I had the urge to gamble. In a matter of weeks I've lost about £5000 again. To make matters worse, I recently lost my job. I have 4000 left in my savings account which I'm going to have to withdraw now so hopefully I can kick this addiction again.

Thanks for taking the time to read this

Sorry to hear this I hope you turn things around and get back on track.

We was on about this in the chatroom today if you can ever say you recovered from gambling, I personally think it's going to be an on going battle and a difficult one.

I'm sorry to hear about your job loss hopfully another door opens in life for you to focus on.

I'm wishing you all the best on your recovery

Thanks mate. I honestly never thought I'd gamble again after what happened the first time but for some reason I couldn't stop myself. I did have a 5 year block in place but that had since expired
