Hi allÂ
So am i just starting my road to recovery. I strarted to gamble when we covid started i couldnt cope with being in constantly so i turned to online gambling. No matter how much i know i shouldn't not just for me but my son it just got me more down and it ment more relife to escape. I just look at my son and feel guiltily dont get me wrong he doest go with out. Now its time to fight this not just for myself and my mental health but for my son i cant change the past but i can sertanally change the future. I have made myself a budgeting plan to pay debs they will be clear by july once there paid i wamt to consentrate on creating a business and use my strengths rather than my weekness. I am ready for a rough ride day by day i am ready to make my son proud of meÂ
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and targets. It’s really important to have a focus when trying to stop gambling, and you’ve made the hardest choice already which is stopping.Â
I reached my 1 year milestone yesterday, and I would advise any of the following support options:
-GamBan to prevent you accessing websites and also having any online accounts. If you can’t access anything, it becomes a major relief when you are fighting a big urge.
-GamCare Counselling
-GamCare chat rooms (1pm and 8pm everyday)
-Talking to others and being openÂ
Â
I am backing you to succeed, July will be a great time for you!
@azzabazza thank you so much amd congratulations on your milestone. Have you got any other tips on how you have done it we will beat thisÂ
Hello @yojojojo91 and welcome to the forum.

You have taken some really positive steps already, and as much as feelings of guilt can be present, you can get through this and make yourself and your son proud.
Â
As I am sure you will find, the Forum is a welcoming and supportive space which allows you to talk to others who may also be experiencing similar issues to yourself.
