Hi
I joined back in August trying to stop gambling didn't happen, i don't think i wanted too i couldn't be stubborn enough. Even though registered with gamstop i could always find a way to gamble.
My last gambling transaction was January 29th., i kept finding no matter how much i won was enough and i couldn't stop myself depositing, my usual trend was blackjack if i won keep a balance for sports betting but then i found something more addictive slots with so called big payouts, i won £1200 in December and thought i would always get the bonus feature just a matter of time, i lost hundreds doing this. I found that i loved the slots for some reason and was watching you tube videos of big wins, in the end this worked also to make me stop well i hope forever, i saw videos of hundred being put in to win small amounts and realized what is the point.
I believe i can stop for good , i have only done 10 days (2 weekends the hardest time) but i actually finding that i am in a better mood , i enjoy watching the football and rugby on tv without loosing money, i enjoy watching without the bets, the same that i use to before i gambled.
For me reading on the forums is a good way to help , i know i have a long way to go and its early on but reading others experiences can help put you off, i really no longer want to be obsessed with video slots , black jack and i want to love sport how i use to years ago. My ambition now is not to be writing a post on here on how i lost money again but to be like some others on how they have beaten off the addiction .
