Struggling to break the cycle

Sorry to hear that you are struggling mate. Your story is identical to mine and I can empathise on how difficult normal life can be knowing what a mess gambling has caused. 

Try and focus on your family as that’s the key to happiness not where your next bet will come from. We all know any winnings will gradually be given back to the bookies as there will never be enough for you to stop. 

Dust yourself down and take one day at a time. Temptation will always be there but remember what a life of misery gambling causes.

So sorry to hear that you are struggling once more 😢. Maybe now is the time to put every block imaginable in place. This in itself, will then put the blocks on any further gambling. Have you got any blocks in place currently and if so, what are they?

It sounds like the rest of your life and all that/those who are in it are good.  Why ruin your future life by just giving these rich gambling establishments any more of your hard earned money? It took me a while for the penny to drop, to realise that ultimately, any money I won or hoped to win, would eventually just go straight back to these sites and often, a whole lot more 👎.

Does your wife know everything? Being completely honest and transparent is the only way you can beat this awful addiction. 
I tried so many times, convinced myself I was ok, lied every hour of every day to my husband and all I did was make the debt bigger and bigger, and I literally couldn’t hide it any longer! He was going to find out. I had to tell him before he found out for himself. He now has financial control and it was the best thing we ever did.
