I’m in a similar position my family have heard it all before, this time I’m taking action and then going to tell them so that it’s not just empty words this time there’s gonna be an end goal. We’ve got this

Hello debadeb,

Well done for joining the forum and beginning to find a voice here.

You have titled your post 'This is my first step to admitting i have a problem', so you are breaking new ground and moving towards recovery by admitting to yourself that you have a problem.

If you continue to post here on the forum, hopefully our forum members will show you understanding and encouragement.

It sounds like you find it a big challenge to open up about it. If you like, you can chat with us 1-2-1 on our Live Chat or WhatsApp, if you would like a conversation in real time.

Take care,

Adam.

Hi

As I got mroe honest with my self I was abale to get more honest with others.

In recovery I found rooms that were focused on therapies.

As I was able to articulate my feelings and my emotions I was able to articulate my self in much healthier ways.

My anger was an unhealthy reactions tyo my pains my fears and my frustrations.

I use to feel very frustrated with my self.

Yet the longer I was in the recovery program the healthier I got.

No one could stop me gambling that was going to my daily choice.

No one could stop me lying that was going to my daily choice.

No one could make em take my recovery seriously that was going to my daily choice.

Just get to learn and understand your emotional triggers.

Love and peace to every one.
