Hi all,

It's come to the point now where my wife found out about my stupidity of gambling. Prior to this I thought of every excuse to make it all go away and when she found out it wasn't much of a relief, just more pain.Following my painful dressing down all I thought about was how do I every get out of this.I need help for me and my family and looking for the best advice. It all starts with my smart phone and the easy access to slots.I only really gamble on these and just don't know when or how to stop. Can I get a stop on the gambling web sites?I don't know but I do need help one way or another.Help!

Hi Zain,

If you are serious about stopping you need to get as many blocks in place as you can. You can self exclude from online sites, give someone control of your finances and put software on your phone or lap top which will stop you from being able to access them.

As a start I would recomend you call gamcare or chat to them online.

Also have a read through some of the diaries in here.....lots of people, including me have and are going though similar situations.

I wish you well.

ITDamo, Deano,

Thank you for your support I appreciate your advice.I have took the first step and my wife controls the finances.I am in the process of blocking betting sites to my phone (so thank you).I think it's always about talking about it and when your afraid to do it, it's daunting! But when you do it feels like progress. How is the best way to apply the blocking?I am going to do this today to prove to my family I am doing everything I can to make our future bright. To you both again THANK YOU.
