I have just self excluded myself from online casinos, betting companies and bingo halls. Self exclusion from high street bookies is next on the list. I know I'm still in the s**t money wise but I do feel better already.

I really liked that post Mixer. I think it is very informative and will be particularly useful for newcomers to the diaries.

It will be interesting to see what feedback you get.

Thanx for this post dear!
I think that this post is a very cool post!

This is a good post, I’ve only just recently got to a point of realisation that I have an addiction. I’m looking at what support is out there and how I can stop being such a sneaky liar.... it’s become a default behaviour- I’m not even sure if I’m honest with myself most of the time! 1 day at a time - this is day 6 for me

GamStop doesn't work completely yet so I wouldn't rely on that.

If anyone wants to know how to overcome Gambling and Stay Off, suggest you read my post "25 years off, one day at a time" at the top of the Success section.

Great original post, only joined up today and yet another loss. I've known for a long time I've had an issue and tried self exclusion, banning for bookies and hypnotherapy but keep going back. I feel like my life is a horrible film like ground hog day but with Gambing and losses keep adding up.
I feel a let down to my family and myself, not having the power to stop and hate myself for it. I've always kept things to myself and made sure all bills paid (I pay all bills) but majority of my disposable income goes on gambling. I almost feel numb and don't like the person I become when I don't of a fobt, I know I look like an idiot paying for a win to come in or getting angry when I'm losing.
I WISH I could just turn off the switch in my brain, I struggle to find other things in life enjoyable anymore and I know I should.

Sam

I know the feeling chorister, it's after a period we get complacent and have a little gamble that starts the horrible circle all over again. Day 3 GF for me and I'm really trying to commit myself signed up to gambloc blocking online gambling site and blocking app on phone for double protection. I need that complacency never to end always each day start off by saying to myself I won't gamble today and Me and my family will be better off for it. Emailed local gambling support also and they calling me up for some one on one discussions I hope. Good luck just start again mate its the only thing we can do after 16 years is hard!

Keep going. When you're low, remember why you stopped. You'll find that spark elsewhere. For me, it's coming from the pride of not gambling and proving to myself that i can do it. I have regrets, i have debts, but i'm not going to be beaten. Take that desire to win and pit it against your habit! I'm only 61 days GF...but thats a 20 yr record and once you're invested, you don't want to let yourself down. Keep going mate.

Going to see breakeven on Thursday for some one to one therapy hopefully that will help to. Good luck guys ill post once I've been
