Sounds stupid but why do we gamble when the odds are stacked against us and the house always win!

Because we all think we will be the one to beat the house. We think nobody can be so unlucky and loose so much money, it has to pay out soon..... Guess what... It doesn't. And even if it does we go back because we think we can do it again.... That's what it relies on!! Break the cycle stop now!

Your question to yourself should not be why do i gamble but what is my pain. Addiction is a symptom not the cause of your lifes unmanagability

Chasing the big win sounds familiar sho5, I wang the big win but in reality I don't need or want anything I just want to feel alive not just work home work home I need the rush not the money life's a bore Sometimes I think the journey to hit rock bottom would be more interesting that ticking over day by day

The rush to break the boredom is such a killer...

The "rush" through gambling though is like taking drugs to give you a high, it is an empty experience and and will never be fulfilling. It is just an endless road to nowhere. Gambling dulls your mind and your senses so you end up feeling nothing. The things that should make you happy don't anymore. This can be changed but you have to want to do it.
