So today it’s been 10 days gamble free for myself. This may seem like nothing to some people but this is massive for me. Before this I was betting as soon as i woke up and pretty much all day/night for about 15 years. I wouldn’t say it’s been easy as I have had the odd urge and thought to myself a tenner won’t hurt will it, but deep down knew it was the wrong thing to do and have kept well away. Iv been trying to limit the sport I watch whilst in early stages of recovery and keep my mind elsewhere. The thing that’s helped me this time rather than the other times iv said I would quit is the fact I told the Mrs, close friends and family about my struggles and now it’s out in the open it’s more of an incentive to not let myself or any of my loved ones down. I’d urge anyone who’s struggling on there own to at least tell someone, it’s as if something just clicked in my mind when I did and it’s giving more a lot more strength to beat this addiction. I went out last weekend with the lads and was drinking which would usually make me want a bet more but instead of being on my phone all day betting I put the phone away and had a much better night with my mates. I know it’s still early doors and a long way to go but I’m feeling good ?? and the gamble free future may finally be looking promising. Thanks for reading

@346fyxw5n2 Hi, thank you! Banned myself online from everywhere, deleted my crypto account, deleted the payees off my banking app whos accounts I would use so I can’t send them money. Deleted racing post and flash scores off my phone so couldn’t check what football or horse racing was on as easy. Sent any spare money I had in bank to my business account. All pretty basic, simple things, but they seem to work for me
