I was 108 days free and relapsed 3 days ago, cleared my account plus savings. What I'm so shocked about is as soon as I started I was like the old me. Coming on here after to realize I was 108 days free I was rather shocked how I was gambling like the old me seen as it had been so long? .. I thought i would of had more control.. Well the past few days have been raw and haven't felt very good at all. Been over eating and just behaving odd.. hopefully can rebuild my life again maybe it was meant to happen maybe this is just a kick up the a*s and a new direction in life ?

Firstly, very well done for doing 108 days! 👏👏. When you think of it in terms of "day at a time", that is commendable. Don't beat yourself up about it but instead, try and change your mindset, think positively and just get back on that treadmill.  Take care and look after yourself.

Hi

Those 108 days can not be lost.

No one can take those days away from you.

At one time over 30 years ago I was clean for 11 months and two weeks and went back to gambling.

The reason I went back was I was scared of facing the people in the meeting when I would have got one year clean.

No matter when your last bet was keep going to meetings.

Thank you for being honest, that honesty will be your strength in future days.

It took me over twenty years to fully understand what a healthy recovery was for me.

First it was about abstaining and then in time mking healthier choices a day ata time.

They say it was slow baby steps.

Look after your self.

Supporting the previous comment. You really have to be proud that you reached 108 days and might be a good idea to set up a milestones towards reaching another days count. Not sure if you have shared your concern with anyone, but I have resently opened to one of my friend and we have installed a parental control app and gamban with 1 year subscription to my phone. Might be a good option to control and avoid relapses as well.

Make sure you don't turn yourself into a blaming mode. You made 108 days and you are able to make it off your head completely!

Thank you everyone for the responses. Yes 108 days I really thought I beat it to be honest. Of we go again and I am aiming to make it the last ever slip of my life.  It was my longest period without gambling. today I saw some stuff I liked which I couldn't buy which was disappointing plus the weekend plans will be on delay now. Hopefully will see a light soon.

I don't get why I never ever win from 10 years+ of gambling I can remember one decent win but it was highish stake. Do people actually win I had the realization today how can I be addicted when I was loosing 99% of the time.... Wow...anyway I have next to nothing to last me 3 weeks. So here it goes

I won it back this morning then ended up going into the local area started playing slots was triggered by the guy next to me loosing heavily. As It said current spend (£500) as I got in I thought it was bound to pay. Got back and the other money had landed in from a bookmaker and threw that in too. Had 2 job prospects today that I've blown out. Life is really in a state at the moment.
