Welcome back Garyl1976 and glad to hear you so positive on your return from holiday.

Great of you to share a bit of your success story with us, inspires others to carry on. Absolutely right approach in taking one day at a time and knowing that just one bet could undo everything.

Best wishes

Yes Gary, lovely inspiring post, and I can say I totally relate to it.

One day at a time is the way to keep going OAU and it's not that bad is it lol:))

Day 62 today!

Had a txt from back saying I'm overdrawn. Hope to get rid of these txts in the next few months! I hate them though! But I'm still working hard and have my eyes on the prize! 100 days!

Day 104 checking in.

16 days to my personal best achieved earlier this year. No great urges to gamble and should exceed 120 days , that's the plan.

Keeping busy planning more holidays for next year !

Checking in day 19 today. Great post Gary, truly inspirational and sensible. One day at a time. Keeps us grounded. Guards us against complacency, the biggest enemy. No shame in being a recovering addict for the rest of the life. Better this than living a life of stress, lies, deceit, self loathing and destruction. Getting the gift of recovery and the benefits and wisdom it bestows is a blessing.

Good evening all,

Checking in on 622 gamble free days. Well done to everyone with your individual battles to beat this nasty addiction.

Have a great weekend and try to remain strong in the no gamble zone.

Clare, brilliant update as always. Thank you for your continued effort in this forum.

Fantastic going Mike and thanks for your nice comment. Can't imagine how much effort and determination 622 takes, but I'm gonna give it a good go and hope to follow in your footsteps!

Hi all,

Quick check in while on holiday, in previous years part of my holiday consisted of lying on the sunbed placing football bets, this year it has not even entered my head.

Keep up the good work all and thanks for the updates Clare.

Im going to drop out of the challenge. My focus has gone since 8 August when I reset my count after staying gamble free for the whole year. I still aim to finish the rest of the year gamble free but checking in quoting such low day counts is frustrating to say the least. Im determined to finish the year gamble free in 11 of the 12 months of this year and hope I can do a full year in 2016.
