Hi suzy . Many thanks for your kind comments. Your absolutely right about controlling my betting , I know full well thats not an option for me , if it was I wouldn't be a compulsive gambler , I don't seem to have a switch off button that say's "enough is enough". So I know I have to stop completely !! Congratulations to you Suzy , on your year and a century and yeah ! there's nothing wrong with your math's !! Ha ! Ha ! . Take care for now Alan who will not gamble today !!

Checking in on day 511

Have a good week troops, keeping strong and positive, and don't forget we can never underestimate this addiction, but we can by taking one day at a time(no matter how many days we are on) keep abstaining and strengthening our recovery, and the addiction just hates that.

Keep starving it and keep winning. by marching slowly OAU

Iv'e totally blown up and messed up, previous thread written. I was doing great for 6 months and thought I had cracked it, got cocky and started winning and thought meh this is ok I have control. Then the usual chasing and it spiraled to silly silly levels and Ive lost a lot of money over a 5 day period. Enough is enough and I'd like to try and take a positive step and get back on this challenge. I also want to help people more than I have previously and offer support as I personally realise how much it helps talking with people in similar situations. Thanks

On holiday for 2 weeks after today so won't be able to check in (or gamble). Hope everyone's ok, & I'll check back in on my return.

Sorry for the late check in!!! All good here! Budgeting and logging onto Internet banking to keep an eye on accounts. First time I've done that in years.

thank you for the wishes back, feeling more positive on day 2 and it helps with people praising me for doing 6 months previously. These slip up's happen and it's definately how you react once you've calmed down. Will check in on Saturday x
