Day 472 - checking in.
Stay strong everyone and don't let gambling urges get the better of you. Do whatever it takes to stay in control. We can't change the past but we can ensure our futures are free from further gambling. Take care all. Suzy

Hi everyone and welcome to a shiny new week with a Monday morning update (score count effective yesterday) . Hope everyone is doing well and keeping the urges firmly at bay - if they do crop up, hope you've now got the tools in your toolbox to deal with them. Every aspect of your life improves when gambling is removed.
I wish you all an amazing gamble free week ahead...my life has not been better in 15 years, and I know that things will continue to progress and improve if I continue to stay gamble free and more importantly, work on my character defaults that lead me to make bad choices. Onwards....

Late check in again but confirming I'm still gamble free! Had a few urges at the weekend having just been paid but overcame them and didn't crumble.
Thanks...not sure if it's a late one or an early one now 🙂
But glad you are gamble free.

Checking in day 138 and thanks for the Monday update. I'm still on with job hunting and interview preparation. Hoping to get my work life sorted within the next few weeks.

Hi,
Thank you for the update. Checking in on day 170
Best wishes x
Hate to tell you all but I fell off the wagon yesterday. So I'm back to day1!!
Just don't know what to do. I spent £650 on sport bets, mostly stupid ones like tennis and ice hockey and why? Because I had the urge to gamble....oh and I found another online gambling site to join.,....that's about 25 now.
I've obviously deactivated and self excluded. Luckily the £650 was what I saved up over my recovery and my mrs still has money for my daughters Xmas presents. I'm glad of that. Just need to get it off my chest with you guys and I hope you can forgive me and let me begin back at day 1. Felt sluggish all day and sad. My 4th stint starts now.....I'm still paying off debts and luckily I haven't created more debt for myself......I still owe around 15k for my stupidity.
Feel gutted for you Thegerman, but hey it takes some guts to own up on this thread and carry on, you have. Had a slip, it's important now in your recovery, to get straight back up (like falling off a bike) and continue with your recovery.
Don't be too hard on yourself, and think what you have learnt from this and what you can change.
Keep making marching forwards soldier, we are all 100% behind you :)))
Suzanne xx
Checking in safely on Day 164. Resisting temptation on a daily, sometimes hourly basis. Something for us all to remember; "Winners are not people who never fail, but people who never give up", Keep marching soldiers with honesty and dignity, we can do this!
Affected by gambling?
