Welcome back Promise and DINO, I'm so glad you are going strong and simply forgot to check in!!!

chalkeyav in order to be added to the challenge I need a count of days clean from gambling and a little more about yourself. Get a message up and you will be welcomed and added to the front page.

Well done for staying strong insanity, no matter who we fancy and how good the odds seem we can't win because we can't stop. Your debts may seem a huge weight on you but over time they will decrease and by staying gamble free life is only going to get better.

Morning troops triple celebrations today, Elfie17 has hit 30 weeks, Brutus123C and myself have both hit 50 days!!! Keep the check ins coming in and if anyone needs to download this is the place to do it. We are all here for each other and together are a fountain of knowledge and advice about this battle.

Good morning Bornagain, and to all our troops.

Been here for 32 days now, and my God how good that is. Glad to have so many of us for the 2015 Challenge. Last night I had a chat with my wife and she was asking me how am I going, how many days GF.0? I said great, been 32 days now without a bet. I read some stories this morning, and I am glad those people decided to come here. Someone said something about those tv adverts, which I know that sometimez they can be a real pain; and now working only 2 days a week (still looking for a new job) i I spend more time watching tv. Very break, every channel, you watch they have a gambling websitr advertised. Online casino, bingo, poker, etc. It's crazy!!!! My wife sometimes covers my eyes or tells me to look away. I remeber now that those sick adverts pulled me into online gambling years ago. But we have to stay strong. We know that nobody will offer you 10, 20, 50 £ for free without taking more and more back! For us the urge is sometimes so high, but we have to resist , thinking that any money that we will deposit, eventually will be a loos, better to pay off a CC or a debt or like someone said, put petrol in your car! On my side I know I 've been doing well for the last 32 days, but the more days I am counting the harder it gets. That's what I was doing in the past, stay away and after that b*m b*m b*m....broke again. But like I wrote previously my aim is this Christmas, I want to see what can I offer myself and my wife after 1 year GF. And if i can achieve this then the road will get better and better. Wishing all of us a great week and stay away, your life, your hard working money deserves better than those sick tv adverts.

Hi Phil and all fellow soldiers - Congratulations on your half-century Phil, and also to Elfie and Brutus on their milestones today. I have to admit that I am not logging into the site as regularly as I used to - a good sign of my 'life music' drowning out all the negativity. So I somehow missed Mr B's suggestion of meeting up in March to celebrate by one year of sanity - I am honoured! Hope we can make it a reality.

Keep up the good work Phil - this 2015 Challenge has really taken wings and it's good to read of so many Challengers, new and old, committed to the fight. Checking in on my Day 323.

Joanna

Hi All

Bornagain, sorry for the lack of information. Iv just joined the site and I'm hoping that I can use people wise words and experience's to help me become gf.

I was an occasional gambler that Led to me gambling everyday 24/7 and losing around £15000.

I'm not proud of it.

This is my second check in here and I'm hoping its the start of a prolonged period of not gambling again.

Thanks x

Hi all,

Checking in for day 15. I'm finding it all too easy at the moment. I'm too busy to think about it. I know that as soon as I have some time on my hands the real challenge will start. That's when all parts of the triangle will come together. I know how important putting barriers in place are but this time I'm trying to do it without barriers. This might be stupid but from a personal point of view I need to do it this way and I really want to succeed. I don't want to live in fear of going back to this if the barriers are not there in the future. If I can deal with it this way, when temptation and possibility are still there, then I can beat this once and for all.

Good luck all and it's great to be a part of such a supportive community (Well done Phil for doing such a great job!)

Honk

Evening troops, its good to come home from work to some positive messages and check ins. chalkeyev all I need from you now is a count of how many days free from gambling you are and I will add you to the front page. We all have a past we are not proud of but focus on the future, its a blank canvas and we can make of it whatever we like. Gambling only leads to more hurt and pain, by making that choice not to gamble we open up a whole new world of opportunites.

Hi all, checking in on day 33. Been feeling pretty down this week, not about wanting to gamble, but a lot of friends are setting off on exciting things or travels or holidays, and me and my gf cant do it because i cant afford it, which isnt fair on her given the rude health of her savings, and my complete lack thereof! However thats not really relevant to not gambling or this group, so looking to the positives the first month of this journey is behind me and for those who started out at new year, 3 weeks will quickly become 6, and in no time it will be the summer! In fact, yesterday is meant to be the most depressing day of the year, so if you got through it without gambling, congratulations!!
