Hello everyone. Been on this website before but didn't work out. This is my first day gamble free (Saturday 16th), I need to act and start a fresh now. I owe around £2,700 which is a lot of money and under massive amounts of pressure, with no paid job at the moment. I was made redundant properly in November and finding it tough. My girlfriend has helped me a lot and lent me £1,000 this week but I don't need to tell you what I did with it. I need to prefabably pay it all back by September but without a job this is impossible. I want to join this challenge because I'm only 20 and I believe I have time to sort it out before it gets worse!
Checking in day 41... I think.

If your starting out on your gamble free journey or your feeling like theres no light at the end of the tunnel just remember, the only way to eat an elephant is one mouthful at a time.
Stay safe 🙂
Abc123 - In answer to your questions about mortgages, I've recently applied and been accepted for a mortgage without any problems. What they'll look at is your income, & current outstanding debts vs the loan amount your asking for. In my experience they only ask for 3 months worth of bank statements, so if u know your going to apply soon try not to put anything on there that might damage your application (eg gambling transactions). As long as you don't miss any payments on your loan you should be OK. There is no need to close down your current account and open a new one. Most things only stay on your credit file for 6 years so the sooner you start sorting out your gambling the better. I can't see any reason for u to worry about your mortgage application unless you are sending them the 3 months worth of bank statements with loads of online gambling transactions on there.
