Neil - they are horrific. I (think) im at 60 days, ive stopped counting days in all honesty. I am now just gamble free and intend to remain that way.

However in my first days of quitting I would hear an ad and they would be big triggers for me. The promotions, the "dead certs", everything. I'd think, " just open the account, get the promotion and then leave".

No thank you mr fat bookmaker. You're not having my money, or more importantly, my time and energy that others could have.

Im glad I restrained. The ads are triggers to an extent that I remember about gambling, my concious mind then kicks in and reminds me.

What i've learnt is triggers can affect people at different times and in different circumstances. Certainly in the early days i was in too much pain to feel much but after a few months, i often start to question was it that bad, could i get away with a simple bet etc.

Just keep vigilent. This illness loves getting people back in.
