So update I managed too finally put blocks on and tell my parents, it was a very difficult conversation too have, they were shocked but supportive. It felt like a weight lifted off my shoulders. So I’m day 4 of being gambling free and It’s been so so hard, mentally I feel like I’m losing it, and physically I keep being sick and having the shakes. My brain keeps on telling me you need to bet, you bet this will stop. I feel like my head is completely f*****g with me. I just want it all too stop, I’m exhausted and all i want is my mind too quiet, and my body too rest.
Thats good news! Telling someone like your parents is the best thing you have done in years....believe me.
You build on that to protect your money and quality of life with blocks.
If you can get someone to look after your money as you need all the help you can get to protect yourself.
You are having those feelings because you are rattling from a drug addiction and for the first time you are facing yourself in what feels like inner silence.
You have to keep the strength...It is worth it and it shouldnt be too hard when you are focused that its well worth breaking free.
Are you the restless type perhaps...maybe you need to channel your energy into adrenaline sports activities.
You dont need to bet as your brain is now sending false signals and chemical surges through your bloodstream. I know the feeling very well but Im not interested in gambling now.
Gambling was never the answer. You have to keep talking about it to us and your loved ones. There is no shame in having a word with the doctor
Best wishes from everyone on the forum
Well done mate.
have you used Gamstop to put a block on all accounts. I found once i did that then my urges and desperation to Gamble reduced loads. I just wish I done this years ago. That’s my biggest regret.
see this as an exciting time, you are starting a new chapter without gambling in your life. Find new hobbies and interest. Enjoy life without something that will only make it worse.
