Long story short, after almost whole year 2013 without gambling I have been having big relapses lately, and now I finally decided to get blocking software. Something I should have done ages ago but better later than never I guess. Or actually I tried free K9 software once before but had some problems with that and it didn't really work like I wanted. Anyways I simply need some solid tools with my recovery now to get back on track. I have to finally admit to myself that willpower alone won't be enough for me to get rid of this addiction.
So I already installed free-trial of Betfilter and looks like it works great so far. I'm very likely to purchase 1-year license but I would like to hear some opinions first. Does it always do what it should and has anyone had problems with it? And how does it compare to Gamblock?
I can't vouch for gamblock as I've not used it but betfilter is largely good, but there are sites it doesn't recognise so it basically makes it useless - weakest link in the chain and all that lark.
Thanks for the reply jimmyc.
I Have to think about that purchase again then, since it's not too cheap and I would like at least get my money's worth if I buy it. I have 80% of my money in cash now so that is solid block against online gambling too, and have to research more about these blocking softwares and test those free trials. 7 days remaining with that Betfilter so I can put it to good test at least.

Thanks for the reply Rob. I have no problem investing money and buying blocking software but I want to be sure it works like it should if I buy it. But you are right that I should contact them directly if I have problems, and so far I have tested accessing numerous sites and it has blocked all of them. I will make my final decision about the purchase later.
I have also self excluded from every online gambling site I have played and I have been keeping recovery diary here for a long time, so blocking software is just part of my plan. And I will definitely add more new ways to deal with this.
Affected by gambling?
