I need help, I juck checked my past threads and notice I have been writing on here for the past 4 years and I have been a member since 2009. I have over the past 3 weeks lost £1k and feel really bad. I was todap playing slots in the bookies and put in £280.00 and the bouns feature didnt even come up, 1 played 25p, 50 , £1.00, £2.00 a go and no luck. I spoke to manager and said there is notthing wrong with the machine he has no undertsanding of how I am feeling. He said you cant win every time.
I walked out and said I will not go in AGAIN how many times have I said this.
I have lost money over the years and when I lose I stop for 3 to 6 months and go for a flutter, I need to stop this and when I do have a flutter I end up spending all the money I have and go and try to withdraw from my credit card. I NEED to STOP THIS.
This money I lost I could spend on my family thank GOD my wife has money from Chritmas and the holidays but thats not the point.
I have paid all my dues and do not gamble on line or go to casinos now, the occssional visit to the bookies is still very very expensive and end up losing money.
Any support will be good, 2019 I will start a diary to stop.

I know it can be excrutiangly slow on this forum when you just need someone there who's got your back!
If I can offer some advice, it would be that you need the penny to drop that you are a compulsive gambler.
This means that you cannot gamble at all - ever again.
No occasional bookies visits, no scratch cards, raffles, lottery, bets with mates - Nothing!
You are not in control of it, it's in control of you, and the only way to stop the runaway train is total abstainance.
Today is the day you can take control of your life again.

Matt your right I have been trying to stop my self from gambling for years now and can’t stop I get to a good few weeks whilst doing the odd lottery ticket and the bang (just a tenner routine) just a scratch card) next thing it’s trance time on the fobt for 6 hours or till every available penny is in there! Time to put a stop to it all!!
smk.. if you have put a stop to online and casinos I would also try the central self exclusion for the shops that way you won’t be able to go nip in! Hope you have a good 2019 as I am going to too!! f**k the FOBT!
Thanks for the sound advice. 2 days have gone by and feeling better that I have put some measure in place. Your right stop all types of gambling.
Stay away from all forms of gambling, scratch cards, lottery tickets even football cards. All. Ban yourself from online and shops? Last time I stopped I canceled my visa debit card and just used a cash card it worked for 6 months but these days every purchase needs a visa debit. Good luck love xx
