Dear All, having wasted over a decade of my life with a chronic gambling addiction and losing life changing amounts of money (nearly 7 figures), I am happy to report that I have been "clean" of gambling since last year. However, does anybody have any advice please, in how to deal with the daily feelings of guilt and shame that I endure, for the money that I have previously squandered? Thanks ever so much and take care all.
I think acceptance of the loss and self forgiveness take time but that is what will get you though, try and concentrate on what you have achieved since stopping, and I dont mean financially, mentally, physically and personally, make the journey about you and not about money, as the old saying goes you cannot take it with you. Â
