Hi everyone,
Welcome to the Forum’s new topic!
This week’s topic is “distance”.
“Distance” can come up in recovery journeys in different ways. We can often talk about creating distance from things that might lead to relapse, or that might cause further harm. For example, things like self-exclusions or different ways to manage our money ( https://www.gamcare.org.uk/self-help/managing-your-money/ ). We also can think about “distance” in terms of how far we have come in our story.
From your own experience….
How have you created “distance” from gambling harms?
How would you recommend others to start creating that distance?
Are there any things that are now different for you in your life, that shows how far you’ve come in your journey?
We would love to hear your reflections below!
