Hi to everyone who's reading this.

I do work as an professional psychologist for gambling misuse in Poland with people who have serious gambling addiction for years and years and that addiction completely destroyed their lifes.Financially,emotionally,physically.

Gambling is not a financial problem, but an emotional problem that has financial consequences. Therefore I won't gamble ever again but to seek fulfilment to recover from my emotional damage inside me.Whatever it is trauma from childhood, not be able to cope with boredom, loneliness, not being loved by parents when I was growing up,one of my parents had some kind of addiction...etc etc. There has to be a issue why you gamble and you have to find that out.

Wish good luck to you all

Your forgetting that it's not just the route of the problem which makes you gamble, when you have been gambling for years you get triggers from any form of gambling or not which can make you gamble hence why it can't be cured but controlled with recovery.

Being happy can make you gamble, being sad can make you gamble etc you have to work out what triggers you and try to move away from those thoughts

Just my 2 cents.

Are you saying that you’re a gambler and that you experienced various problems with your parents or a traumatic childhood or are you saying, as a trained psychologist, that these are the reasons compulsive gamblers gamble?

Chris.
