Lost a grand goday. Feeling really gutted.

Overdrawn......a grand could of paid for a lot instead of 5 hours playing toss games in the bookies. What a loser.

What makes it worse is that I have a great wife and lovely daughter. I was in the bookies instead of working or spending time with her.

Done over 20k over the years and recently started getting worse again.

Have about 9k in debt now to pay off and this overdraught will take some time to pay off to.

Just wanted to post this in hope that someone reada this post.

Still feel like going in tomorrow and chasing some money back......what a b******d.

You win some but you always lose much more.....

Hi Gennaro,

Thank you for posting, and well done for being honest about what is going on for you. I can hear that you would love to do things differently, as it sounds like gambling and chasing your losses have cost you a lot, not only financial but also time you could spend with you loved ones.

There is help if you want help. You mentioned you feeli like chasing......, which contracdics what you mentioned earlier; that you know you should be 'spending time with your 'great wife and lovely daughter'. Perhaps you would like help to be able to achieve your aim of being with your family. You can look at this in confidence with one of our advisors if you would like to call our Free Helpline on 0808 8020 133, or chat with us on our Netline, by clicking our Netline link on the top of this page, you wiould be able to tell us a bit more about your gambling and what you would like to do about it.

You also mentioned about your debt and overdraft, you can look at this with us when you speak to an advisor. There are Debtmanagement sites that many people have found helplful and we can signpost you to them.

We also give Free Counselling in many areas in the country, and we can give you counselling if you would like to explore the underlying reasons for your gambling, and to be able to look at changing your mindset about gambling if you choose.

It is good that you have found this Forum. You could read about what others have found helpful, and others wouldl also reply to support you, so that you wiould not be alone in this.

We are also here to Support you.

Regards
